1. Loro Park

Loro Park is the most famous zoo on the island of Tenerife, and the name comes from the Spanish word for parrot. The park is located on the outskirts of the city of Puerto de la Cruz, in the northwest of the island, on an area of approximately 13 hectares.

The zoo gathers an impressive collection of animals, in a paradise park, very well-ordered. A major attraction of this zoo is represented by the animal shows, in which thousands of tourists participate daily.

How much does a ticket in Loro Park cost?

The price of a single ticket is:

  • 42 euros for adults and children over 12 years old
  • 30 euros for children aged between 3 and 11 years
  • Free for children under 2 years old.

In addition to these simple tickets, there are also other types of tickets, with lunch included.

Tickets can be bought online from the official website or here: Puerto de la Cruz: Loro Parque Entry Ticket.

If you want to visit both Loro Park and Siam Park, you can opt for the Twin Loro Park + Siam Park, which gives you a discount:

After you get to Siam Park, you can choose to additionally buy a Fast Track ticket, which gives you priority on the slides. If you want to go on a certain slide more than once, you will have priority only once, the other times you will have to wait in line. Such a ticket costs 18 euros per person, and it can be a good idea during the busy season, when the waiting period for a slide can reach up to an hour.

You can rent a locker to leave your valuables, in exchange for 5 euros (I paid 10 euros, of which 5 euros was the deposit, the amount returned upon departure). You can also rent beach towels here.

What can you do in Siam Park

Siam Park

Siam Park offers many possibilities to spend your time:

  • Here you will find an impressive number of water slides, of all difficulties, and the symbol of the park is the slide The Dragon, with the highest degree of difficulty.

  • The wave pool is where most people gather. A huge swimming pool, with warm water, where every 20 minutes the water wave movement system is turned on and big, spectacular waves are created.

  • Mai Thai River - it is the largest lazy river in the world, where you can relax on an inflatable while leisurely floating along the channels of this river. By far, this was my favorite place in Siam Park.
  • You can enjoy the sun's rays by choosing one of the beaches with natural sand and wave pools.

  • Places to eat and shops - in the park there are many places where you can eat or buy what you need for a day spent in Siam Park.

If you arrive in Siam Park, I recommend that you bring an aquatic case for your phone and water slippers, so that you don't have to walk to recover your flip flops or sandals.

3. Jungle Park

Jungle Park is another zoo in Tenerife, located in Los Cristianos. Although smaller than Loro Park, Jungle Park also has a large number of animals.

What you can do in Monkey Park

Monkey Park is a park focused around monkeys, as the name suggests. At the same time, there are also other types of animals here: many guinea pigs, lemurs, giant turtles, parrots or reptiles.

The most beautiful activity is feeding the animals. Although the monkeys are not left to run freely, they come to receive food at the fence, therefore here you can interact with them.
